First degree of shredding

As a first step of tyres pre-shredding in the line of tyres processing are used shredders of DRD, DRW and DRU series. Before entering into the line, oversized tyres (of trucks and industrial machinery) have to be without steel rope and reduced to a smaller size. Therefore they can be effortlessly fed into the working area of the shredder. This may be done by a feeding conveyor on which the tyres are put manually or by the loading car directly into the hopper of the shredder.

DRD – double shaft series of slow speed shredders with two drives (one for each shaft) are shredders of DRD series. Tyres pre-shredding can be done only in the line where it is not required high hourly capacity and is the adequate preparation of tyres before entering the shredding line. The hourly capacity of shredders in DRD series is about 3000 - 5000 kg /h.

DRW and DRU- our largest double-shaft shredders are in DRW and DRU series. The drive consists of two electric or hydraulic drives (-H) for each shaft. This series of shredders is characterized by high resistance to damage and high shredding force for tough material which the tyres are. Shredding segments are made of one piece of material and heat treated in the whole section without any mechanical joints which ensures high strength and durability. The segments made of one piece of material are possible to re-shape very easily after the cutting edges, which preserves segment material properties, get blunt. The hourly capacity of the shredder is 5000 kg / h or more.
