For the shredding of wood waste to a small and homogenous output fraction of the size 8-50 mm we use single-shaft shredders of DRJ series. The main advantage of these machines is the shredding of wood waste to a small output fraction in one degree of shredding. A small output fraction ensures quality subsequent magnetic metals separation from the waste wood. Shredders of DRJ series are resistant to small metal pieces contained in the waste wood (e.g. nails, fittings, hinges, metal clips etc.).
Single-shaft shredders of DRJ series - operate on principle of cutting the waste material between blades mounted on a rotating rotor and a fixed stator blade in shape of ridge. Bulky and shapeless waste is pushed to the rotor by a hydraulic pressing device. This leads to a gradual cutting the layer of shredded material. Under the working area there is located an exchangeable sieve where the size of the holes in the sieve defines the size of the output fraction. The chosen size of the holes in the sieve also significantly determines the hourly capacity of shredding.
