ODES company Ltd. cooperates on development and manufacturing of special technologies for waste processing. One of them is a production line for recycling of photovoltaic panels. The goal is to gain the largest share of recyclable materials in maximum purity. This production line processes several operations such as shredding, sorting and ballistic separation. The development of this production line is carried out in cooperation with 4RE company.
For processing of photovoltaic panels are used production lines and individual devices, that are designed to separate individual components of photovoltaic panels. A panel, which has a protective layer on each side of the glass, is processed in three steps.
1. Separation of fragile layers of glass - for separation of fragile layers of glass is being used the vibrating destructor VBD 1000 series. It is a device, into which is placed a whole plate of photovoltaic panel, that removes a fragile glass out of the panel. The principle is breaking through the glass by plate compactor. Broken glass is then conveyed by conveyor into the container.
2. Separation of metals from EVA foil - output is EVA foil glued to the glass.
